The story (at Slate) is on the clickthru, but the money quote from my friend Will’s blog is this:
I’ve been black in Alabama my whole life so, you know, I knew it was racist, but it took a black man being elected president before I realized just =how racist= this entire country really is.
He’s not wrong.
My friends illegal wife just received her voter registration card in Texas.
He lost me somewhere between stating that the (entire) United States is “monstrously racist” and needing to see the country elect a black president to fully recognize “just how racist this entire country really is”. First black president=evidence of superultramegaracism? Huh?
How did he extract any of that from the Slate article referenced? They couldn’t have been much clearer on their topic, and it had nothing to do with minorities being denied the right to vote by a monstrously racist America.
I read it as: mobile demographic+no land line=hard to locate via traditional means. Racist?
Wait a minute. Damn it….trolled again. This is one of those Onion deals.
