Don’t even get me started on the Ireland v. France qualifier that hinged on Thierry Henry’s blatant hand ball.
As for the Cup itself, those obvious reffing mistakes are frustrating to say the least, but I actually enjoy the players’ histrionic displays of suffering — they add a comedic element to the game. Now, if the refs could avoid getting sucked into the drama everything would be fine.
