As the bits below illustrate, the hiatus was something less than total. Of course, you do get a fancy new presentation in the bargain, and it’s not like you’re paying for it, so suck it up.

Just because we’re pissed off and busy doesn’t mean we didn’t come across a few bits worth noting in the interim that didn’t merit their own entries, so here’s a linkdump:

• Print some of these out and post them in your workplace. Madcap hilarity ensues!
• Microsoft execs stated this week that Firefox is no threat to IE’s market share, that Firefox has no features IE users want, and that IE no less secure than any other browser. We wonder what color the sky is in their world.
• America, baby, why you make Ike do you like that?
• Mmmmmm, new socks
• We’re pretty sure we need a room with some of these, perhaps accessible only via one of these.
• We don’t really care about the “New York Souvenier” aspects of these; we just think they’re cool.
