My Uncle, Pete Filippone, is in the Life Magazine archives based upon his internship at Ben Taub. There was a big article on the emergency room and their incredible work. I actually have a copy of the original magazine. Tom
Ok, if he is the last surviving Civil War Veteran — why are we looking at his funeral? Wouldn’t it be better to say the funeral of the last Civil War Veteran?
