OK, here’s a freaky coincidence.
Kirby once did production designs for a movie version of Zelazny’s Lord of Light (that never materialized—why, I don’t understand: Buddha vs. the Hindu Pantheon, what’s not to like).
The intent was to build the sets for the movie and then turn them into a science-fiction theme park in…Aurora, Colorado.
