  1. If somebody finds a way to do this with a classic Apple ][+ box (without getting sued into the next millennium), my bank account is in big trouble.

While the C64 box is a delightful bit of retro-techno marketing, as one who oft repeated the claim “C64 sux” at 1200 baud (half-duplex) in the early 80’s, I could never have one of those in my house. No no no. No way.

Everybody knows the 1541 drive took 5 minutes to load a freaking game anyway. C64 sux! Apple rulez!

    I need a nap.

Wait a minute. Is this another gag in the tradition of the iPad MAME emulator hoax?

  2. Thank god Zack doesnt go for retro!

We are finally down to 2 computers with no extra parts and both “work”, but continue to have 3 ipods, several gps (shrug 5 maybe?!?), a wii, a playstation, and a kindle, various headphone wireless experiments. No more electronics. I am drowning. No more computer games. No more.

  3. Oh, you guys are amateurs. In my (home) office are 3 laptops and our media server, plus 3 more PCs in the closet — and a Sun workstation from 1999 that I’m keeping for sentimental reasons.

Erin’s got a laptop that lives next to the couch, too, and then there’s our iPhones, and the netbook I bought on a lark six months ago. I’ve got a shuffle and a classic, but I really only ever use the iPhone; Erin prefers her shuffle for workouts. Then there’s the two older iPods on the shelf behind me.

Right next to the two Newtons.

So yeah, you and Z would be quite at home here. Maybe it’s in the blood somewhere. ;)
